Ponte Vedra Beach gets a new art gallery

Cutter family expands its reach with new location in Sawgrass Village

Spanish painter Royo will open an exhibit with a reception following the ribbon cutting ceremony at Cutter and Cutter Fine Art's new location in Sawgrass Village.

Ponte Vedra Beach has a new art gallery with familiar owners.

Cutter and Cutter Fine Art is set to host its grand opening at 5 p.m. Friday at 333 Village Main St. No. 640, Ponte Vedra Beach.

The Cutter family has long been a presence in St. Augustine’s art scene, owning a gallery and custom framing shop in the Ancient City. However, the family’s ambitions did not stop there. They constantly had their eye on Ponte Vedra Beach.

“For years, the Cutter family has longed to find the perfect location from which we can serve the needs of art lovers in Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville and North Florida’s First Coast,” Len Cutter says. “We’ve found our new home here in Sawgrass Village, and it is perfect. This grand opening is truly a dream come true for the Cutter family, and we are determined that the next 20 years will find us bringing the very best in fine art from around the world to a collector base of all ages.”

In addition to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Cutter family has arranged for acclaimed Spanish artist Royo to open an exhibit with a pair of receptions from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Royo will also host a book signing from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Spanish painter will display 40 new works, in a variety of sizes. The works on display will be a mix of figurative and landscape oil paintings.

“This grand opening will bring to the area some of the finest art in the world,” says Cutter.
