Light Elixir set to play at this month’s Music in the Box

Light Elixir will perform during Limelight Theatre’s Music in the Box event from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at 11 Old Mission Ave.

The group is composed of Sam Williams and Luci Butler.

Williams, originally from Easton, Maryland, has performed professionally for several years in St.Augustine. His talents led him to tour nationally with recording artist, Zach Deputy, playing guitar and serving as tour manager.

Butler, originally from Savannah, Georgia, studied music therapy and worked for almost a decade as a music therapist in neurologic rehabilitation in New York City. She has also toured playing keyboards for Moby and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. She moved to St. Augustine to concentrate on writing original music where she paired up with Williams.

Together, the duo created Light Elixir, and are currently in the process of recording their first album. Their sounds attracted the classically trained, world-touring rock violinist, Gerry O’Hare, who often joins them in local live performances.

Admission is $5 at the door, which goes to the musicians. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
