Empty Stocking Fund: Applications, donations now being accepted

Those who could use a helping hand during the holidays can apply for assistance through The St. Augustine Record’s Empty Stocking Fund. Supported by donors and started in the 1980s, the fund provides assistance that allows applicants to buy food, clothing and toys.

The Empty Stocking Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible and can be made year-round at The Record’s office building, One News Place, St. Augustine, FL 32086, or at other locations listed below.

Those in need can apply for help through the fund at one of several agencies partnering with The Record this year.

Some documents are required to be attached to an application: a copy of the applicant’s identification and Social Security card, a copy of the spouse or partner’s Social Security card and a copy of the birth certificate and Social Security card for all dependents. Proof of all household income must also be attached to the application.
