Sheriff’s Office looking for suspects in two burglaries

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying at least four suspects in connection with two burglaries late last week.

The suspects, described only as black males in a Thursday news release from the Sheriff’s Office, were captured on surveillance video in the 2700 block of State Road 16 where two businesses were burglarized just before 5 a.m. on Saturday.

The suspects, who have their faces covered, can be seen in the video arriving by car at the front door of Draggin Vapor and entering the business after breaking the glass front door.

A 23-inch touch screen computer, a Verizon tablet, a Verizon cellphone, a cash drawer with an undisclosed amount of cash and one “vape” were reported stolen from the store, the news release said.

A cash drawer with an undisclosed amount of cash was also reported stolen from the nearby Edible Arrangements store, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The suspects left the area in a “light colored” vehicle, the release said.

Anyone with information about the burglaries or the suspects is asked to contact Detective Kyle Braig with the Sheriff’s Office at 209-2148 or by email at kbraig@sjso.org.

Those who wish to remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward can call Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at 888-277-8477.

Looks like someone left the gate open at the zoo again. Time to have a talk with the groundskeeper.
