When will Congress stand up to Trump’s abuses?
Editor: Donald Trump is abusing America, the citizens of America, the office of the presidency and the entire world. He has abused companies who worked for him by not paying them, he has verbally and publicly abused those who stand up to him — on and on.
Trump is a serial abuser. So far Trump’s abuse has worked for him, so why should he stop? This is a man who, it appears, was willing to conspire with a foreign adversary that literally invaded our social media and hacked polling locations to help him get elected.
That’s abuse with collusion!
The selfishness and self-centeredness of this individual is the absolute epitome of the greedy corporatism that’s destroying this country, the hopes and aspirations of its citizens and potentially the world.
It would be nice if Congress could stand up and impeach Trump, but members appear to have bought into the corporatist structure that supports them.
They seem not to understand that their oath of office is to the Constitution of “We the people” — not to the monied lobbyists or to some nefarious idea of party loyalty.
Let’s hope Republican Sen. Bob Corker is finally the voice in the wilderness this Congress needs.
