Flagler College strung two big innings together and defeated Montevallo 12-8 Sunday, March 19 to take two of three games in the Peach Belt Conference series at Drysdale Field. The Saints scored five runs in the third and six in the seventh to improve to 19-9, 7-2 in conference play. Montevallo fell to 13-14, 2-7. Cooper Wallace gave up two runs on four hits in six innings to improve to 5-1 on the season. The junior left-hander struck out six and walked two. The Saints hit back-to-back home runs in the third with Jason Moore belting a three-run shot to left and Igo Baez following with a blast to center. Cole Ondrejka, who was one of four Saints with two hits, ripped a two-run double down the left-field line in the seventh, while Ja’Kobi Dasher followed with a two-run single. The Saints scored five runs in the third and six in the seventh to improve to 19-9, 7-2 in conference play. Montevallo fell to 13-14, 2-7. Cooper Wallace gave up two runs on four hits in six innings to improve to 5-1 on the season. The junior left-hander struck out six and walked two. The Saints hit back-to-back home runs in the third with Jason Moore belting a three-run shot to left and Igo Baez following with a blast to center. Cole Ondrejka, who was one of four Saints with two hits, ripped a two-run double down the left-field line in the seventh, while Ja’Kobi Dasher followed with a two-run single. Dasher and Ondrejka each went 2 for 5 with two RBIs and a run scored. Dylan Jones went 2 for 4 with two runs scored. Ethan Crout went 2 for 4 with a run scored.
