The headline for Tuesday’s story about absentee ballots was incorrect. The Supervisor of Elections Office is encouraging voters to mail absentee ballots by Thursday so that it reaches the office by 7 p.m. Nov. 3

If a ballot is late, it will not be counted.

However, voters may submit absentee ballots at several locations until 5 p.m. on Election Day (Nov. 3). The options include:

■ Red absentee ballot drop boxes are available at all public libraries, St. Augustine Beach City Hall and the Ponte Vedra and Julington Creek tax offices during business hours.

■ Voters may return absentee ballots to any of the six early voting sites during early voting.

■ There is also a 24-hour absentee ballot drop box located in front of the Supervisor of Elections Office.

Even those who requested absentee ballots may instead participate in early voting or to vote at their precinct on Nov. 3.
