Legal professionals form local chapter of American Inns of Court

More than 70 founding members of the St. Augustine American Inn of Court attended the organization’s inaugural meeting Jan. 9 at the Royal St. Augustine Golf Clubhouse.

The newly installed chapter is comprised of lawyers and judges from the community.

Nationally, the American Inns of Court is an organization of lawyers and judges who strive to improve civility, ethics and the betterment of the legal profession through a series of training presentations.

Pupilage groups consisting of masters (more than 15 years of experience), barristers (four to 14 years of experience) and associates (less than four years of experience) team up with judges to present topics of concern to the legal community.
