AROUND WEST AUGUSTINE: Time to celebrate a mobility upgrade

The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners invites residents to attend the West King Street/Holmes Boulevard Improvement Project Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 9 a.m. on July 28 at 10 North Holmes Blvd. The event will celebrate the completion of this important intersection improvement project that will enhance mobility in this area of the county. Opening remarks will be followed by comments from local dignitaries. Refreshments will be available.


• The Richard J. Murray High School Bulldogs Golden Jubilee Celebration (1955-1970) begins this week on Thursday at World Golf Village. For four days, bulldog alumni will meet, greet, and celebrate the legacies of their Alma mater, Murray High School. Scheduled activities include registration/hospitality, a seafood cookout, a banquet/dance and a memorial breakfast. • The Wildflower Clinic, 268 Herbert St., will offer dental extractions, X-rays, and exams on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Medical clinics are held on Thursdays at 4 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 a.m. For more information on these and other services, call 829-1962.

Serenity South Christian Ministries will host a senior midday service and a free lunch at Shiloh Baptist Church, 271 West King St., on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Serenity Christian Ministries are under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Britton and First Lady Carol Britton.

Serenity South will host a unity service at 4 p.m. on July 30 at Shiloh Baptist Church. In support of back to school, attendees are asked to bring school supplies to be donated within the community. Shiloh Baptist Church is located at 271 West King Street.
